Your local, family-owned bike store since 1974 — More people on bikes more often

We are excited to announce a new service now available at Bike Gallery. The Hands On Overhaul with Brett Flemming is a complete teardown and rebuild of your bike that you can participate in as much or as little as you want.
No matter what your mechanical level is, Brett will be able to teach you something new about your bike. Have you ever wondered the proper way to adjust a derailleur or true a wheel? Not only will you be able to ask a master mechanic, but you will get one-on-one instruction while giving it a go!

Let Brett guide you through the process with his unique brand of humor and insight. Brett is the General service manager for all 6 Bike Gallery stores, he is tool maker and holds a patent with Shimano for one of the tools that he designed. He was also voted as Portland’s best bike mechanic by Portland Monthly magazine.

A customer who recently experienced the hands on overhaul had this to say:

“We had a heap of aluminum and steel bits and pieces lumped into a basket for cleaning in an environmentally friendly solvent bath that no home shop is going to offer. Turning that pile back into a functioning bike revealed the elegance of design of the modern bicycle. Whatever level of involvement a person wants to have in the overhaul process will bring deeper appreciation for the simple genius of bicycles.”

The overhaul service alone usually costs $275, this special one-on-one overhaul is a fantastic value at $350! The service is available only on Sundays and space is limited, so make an appointment today. (psst! This is the perfect gift idea for the cyclist who has it all!)
