It was a slow and blustery evening at the Downtown Bike Gallery. The sales crew were keeping busy discussing and demonstrating benefits of the Madsen utility bike. After all, cargo bikes are the new black! We were just minding our own business when KGW News Channel 8 saw us through the window and burst through the oldest revolving door in Portland, camera in tow.

News reporter Stephanie Stricklen queried, “Wow, that’s a crazy bike. What is that?”

We explained the features and benefits of the bike – including its ability to haul 600lbs worth of cargo or even your small children.

Now even more impressed with the bike, Stricklen exclaimed, “We’d love for your crew to introduce our ‘Live @ 7′ show this evening, while featuring this amazing bike! We often have local businesses give shout-outs on the show – and you guys are a very visible fabric in the patchwork of bike communities in Portland.”
