Hot Enough? Cool off at the Hottest Day of the Year Ride on Sunday Aug 2!
With record temperatures scorching the city, you have to be grateful that the forecast for the weekend is now only “hot” — that is, in the 90s. But with this 100 degree plus gruppo of days, by Sunday August 2 you’ll be ready to get out for a little ride AND what better ride to join than the fabulous Hottest Day of the Year Ride?
The HDYR is a summer party on wheels. Ramble along on the 15-mile urban tour, or enjoy the 40-mile challenge loop. Both rides start and end at the Lucky Lab in NW Portland. AND, all riders can join the finish line party with the World’s Largest Water Fight (that’s right they are goin’ for the record), Oregon’s Longest Slip n’ Slide, and as if that’s not enough enticement there’s all you can eat ice cream sundaes for everyone! Sundaes? I’m in!
And be sure to keep an eye out for the A2B electric bike — we’ll have a demo fleet of them at the start/finish line.
There still time to save $10 by registering online (until Thursday at Midnight) or register at the event. So, don’t miss the fun. For more information and to register visit http://www.hottestdayride.com/
