We can fit virtually everyone, from the commuter who seeks a more comfortable ride to the Ironman triathlete in pursuit of a new personal best. Below is an overview of the various fitting services we offer for every budget. If you have any questions, just drop by or give us a call.

Fitting Basics

Started in the late 80's, the Bike Gallery's Fit Specialists have helped customers become more comfortable and efficient on their bicycles for over two decades. Primarily through word-of-mouth advertising by satisfied customers, we have grown our Fitting Department from one person to Fit Specialists at each of our six locations. We are currently training several additional Fit Specialists, in order to better meet our customer's scheduling needs throughout the year.

Unlike most basic fitting systems that measure your body and then fit your bicycle based on mathematical averages, our system—which was developed with the help of a physical therapist—is based on biomechanics. It looks at you as an individual and fits your bike to the unique needs of your body, taking into account your flexibility, your athletic history, any injuries you may have had in the past, and your intended type of riding.

Our Fit Specialists come from diverse riding backgrounds and include bike commuters, tour riders, and bike racers. Many of them bring relevant experience from outside the cycling world as well. Through continuous training, we ensure that our staff remains up-to-date on the latest developments in bike fitting.

Comfort Consult

During a Basic Body Fit, we pay special attention to your shoe positioning and cleat alignment.

This is our basic fitting service, aimed at the recreational riders - all ages and all levels - who like to maximize their bike comfort. The Comfort Consult includes basic seat adjustments and suggestions regarding handlebar positions by a trained Fit Specialist. The Comfort Consult takes about 20 minutes.

Standard Bike Fit

The Basic Body Fit is the next fitting level and is focused on maximizing both comfort and performance on the bike. This is the fitting service we recommend to any cyclists who intend to step up their riding level and intensity. It is something you should consider if you plan to participate in longer, multi-hour rides.

The Basic Body Fit is provided by a trained Fit Specialist in one of our professional fitting areas. Based on detailed body measurements of the rider—including range of motion—and a review of preferred riding style and past injuries, our Fit Specialist will determine the ideal position of seat, seatpost, stem and handlebar, as well as the fore/aft placement of the cleats, if you intend to ride with clipless pedals. A Basic Body Fit will take approximately 1.5 hours.

Full Bike Fit

The redesigned fit area of the Hollywood Bike Gallery.

The Full Bike Fit is our premium bike fitting service. It includes anything offered in the basic body fit, and adds a thorough analysis of the rider's natural foot / pedal position, and includes rotational cleat adjustment to ensure optimal power transfer. It is geared towards the enthusiast bicyclist who just likes to have it all perfectly dialed in. A Full Bike Fit will take approximately 2 hours.

Custom Bike Fit

This fitting service is specifically geared towards determining the ideal frame geometry — as well as seat / seatpost / stem / handlebar position — for any rider who plans to buy a custom bike. A Size Cycle Fit is performed by a trained Fit Specialist in two sessions totaling 3 hours. This service is free for any customer buying a custom bike at the Bike Gallery: the full cost of the Size Cycle Fit will be credited towards the price of the bike at the moment of purchase.
